KGOU Radio is a full service public radio station, licensed to the University of Oklahoma. Its format is primarily news/talk on weekdays, with jazz, blues, and ...world music programs on weekends, broadcasting programs from NPR, PRI and other public radio networks. KGOU streams broadcast audio over the internet, and provides online audio of programs and news reports. The staff of KGOU includes 10 full-time and five part-time employees. The station also houses two reporters employed for StateImpact Oklahoma, a collaborative effort of public broadcasters in the state. We'd love to have your comments on our posts, but we will enforce a few basic ground rules: 1. Please don't use profanity. If you couldn't use that word on the radio, don't use it here. Exercise that big vocabulary of yours and find another way to say it. 2. Same goes for images you post in comments, photos, emojis, memes, etc. Keep it out of the gutter. 3. Hate speech is a big no-no. We’re better than that, aren’t we? 4. Don't attack other commenters -- no name-calling, no comparisons to infamous dictators or hexagonal crystals of frozen water. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, no matter how misguided you think they are. 5. Don’t impersonate anyone else, whether classified as a public or private person under the law. Just be yourself -- you are enough. Be kind. Be constructive. And be aware that KGOU reserves the right to moderate the comments on this Facebook page, to remove comments for any reason, and to block accounts that appear to be fake or that repeatedly violate these rules.
